REGULATIONS
of Participation in the Festival

COMPETITION FOR:
1. “PERFORMERS OF A SONG” they are to perform two songs - one by a Bulgarian composer,
(or a song of the enclosed sound-carrier MP3 - CD).
You can receive a recording of the Bulgarian songs by ordering them via Internet and giving your postal address.
The second song is to be chosen by the applicant from his country.
The arrangements of the songs which the participants are going to present at the Festival can be prepared according to their choice and taste, as well as harmonized with the new tendencies of pop music.
The lyrics of the songs may be performed in Bulgarian or translated in another language as preferred by the performers.
2. “CREATION AND PERFORMANCE OF A NEW SONG ON A SEA TOPIC” - applicants for this competition are to send the notes and verbal text of the song with the names of the authors of the music and the text. Each composer is allowed to present at the Festival only one song.

COMMON CONDITIONS FOR THE FESTIVAL PARTICIPANTS
1. Festival participants provide the musical accompaniment on their own (live or on simback).
2. Playback performances are not admitted.
3. Each individual performer or ensemble may participate in each competition part.
4. Each participating ensemble may present at the festival one soloist and one duet from the ensemble.
5. The musical programs of the participants may be accompanied by dance performances.
6. The performers chosen by the jury are awarded with a diploma, the title of ‘Laureate’ and financial or other prize.
7. Application forms (attached on www.morefest.com) for participation are to be sent not later than 30 March 2010 to:

8. The applicants are to send demo-recordings of their performances (DVD or CD) and a photo (minimum 300 dpi) for the advertisement catalogue of the festival to the indicated e-mail addresses.
9.  After being auditioned by a group of specialists, the short-listed applicants will receive an invitation for participation.
10. The organizational committee will cover the hotel and food expenses(breakfast and dinner) of individual performers ,duets, trios or quartets for the period from the evening of 06 May till the morning of 10 May.
     The rest of the participants from a group are to pay their stay in Varna - 25 EURO per day (hotel and food).
11. The traveling expenses to Varna and back are to be paid by the participants.
12. Each performer is to pay a participation fee of 15 EURO per person on their arrival in Varna.

AWARDS

- Diploma, title laureate of the competition, emblem of the festival and a monetary prize shall be awarded to the Grand Prizes winners at the Sea and Memories Festival and to the first, second and third place winners
- Diploma and an object prize shall be awarded to the fourth place winners.
- The awarded new original sea-themed songs and the best accompaniment entries will receive a diploma and a monetary award.
- Performers demonstrating best on-stage performance and the best young performers will be awarded a diploma and an object award.
- All participants will receive a charter for participation in the festival.
- The competition rules also allow prizes to be given by other bodies, organizations, companies, etc.

Authors and performers participating in the category may present only one original song at the festival. To this end, all applications should be accompanies with the song’s notation and lyrics, along with the name, address and phone number of the composer and author of the lyrics.
